Anna's are the most common
hummingbird in this region, and can be seen anywhere from deserts to
mountaintops. They are abundant in Yuma and San Diego, where
they can be seen feeding on ornamental shrubs, flowers, and nectar
feeders. They are also very early breeders, and their
chattering/buzzy calls are heard throughout the winter.
