Common Ground-Doves are very
easy to see in Yuma, Blythe, and Brawley. And they
become abundant as one moves to SE AZ. Inca Doves are
very similar, but lack the black spots on the wings and have a
longer tail with white corners. Yuma
neighborhoods are a great spot to compare Ground and Inca
Doves. Ruddy
Ground Doves are even more similar, but lack any
scaling whatsoever, and have a dark bill. Watch the rare bird alerts to find where Ruddy
Ground-Doves are being seen.
