Ring-billed Gulls are common to abundant year-round visitors to the Salton Sea and Imperial Valley.  They are also quite common along the Colorado River during the winter.  They are often seen feeding in flooded fields.  Any large flock of gulls in the Imperial Valley will be made up of mostly Ring-billed Gulls.
