Blue
Dashers are quite common throughout our area! The Gila and
Colorado Rivers, New River Wetlands and all freshwater bodies of
water in the area are fine places to look for them. Blue
Dasher generally likes to sit on a prominent perch and has a white
face. Western Pondhawk is common in the same habitats
but has a green face and likes to sit low, or even on, moss or
debris on the waters surface.
